Spanish
Señora Jenny González, Señorita Teresa Mancini Martínez and Profe Julia Valgenti teach Spanish levels I-V at MAST.
The World Language offered at MAST is Spanish (Castilian). Check out this information about Castilian Spanish. Check out all the different Spanish Dialects.
According to the MCVSD curriculum, each Spanish class (I-V) has a different proficiency level. Check out ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) for more information about each proficiency level. Check out NJ World Language Standards for each proficiency level. Each language class is worth 5 credits. Each upper level class (Spanish IV and V) offers the opportunity to earn college credits.
Students will be immersed in the Spanish language during their classes, no matter what their language level. They will be encouraged to engage in conversations and express themselves in the target language (both in and outside of class) according to their proficiency level.
